A Tibetan Temple situated on chamunda -Palampur highway in jia village. The prayer wheels, the Tibetan-style architecture, and overall colour scheme is  appealing and mesmerising. The location of monastery is very good. Don’t miss the Prayer room and meditation session of the Tibetan monks. Thier is no entry fees.

SAURABH VAN VIHARSAURABH

Saurabh Van Vihar is a nature park DEDICATED to brave Indian army soldier Saurabh Kalia A martyr in the Kargil War. A link road goes towards saurabh van vihar from SSB chowk on Palampur – Dharmshala road . Nature park has become a popular picnic spot. A perfect place for recreation. you can enjoy Boating , Bird watching and the nature trails  on pebble track.

It is a temple situated on top of chandpur village dedicated to Devi latti jakhni. It is 5 km from palampur. This temple is easily accessible from palampur by road but road is steep you can check your driving skills or else go for a trek upto the temple and check your physical fitness. Temple is located at a point from where you can get view of entire Dhauladhar range and Palampur city.

SOBHA SINGH ART GALLERY

It is art Gallery dedicated to eminent Painter artist sobha singh. It is situtated in Andreta village , around 15 km south of Palampur .He was a famous veteran painter. His matserpiece paintings got him ample popularity. A art gallery dedicated to his entire life is situtated on the village main road you can get glimpses of his entire work, you can also buy a copy of his famous  PAINTINGS.

Tea Gardens cover large area of Palampur. Most of the village people in and around Palampur have their own tea gardens. Some large tea gardens are owned by  Palampur Co-operative Tea Factory. Tea gardens have made palampur Tea capital of North india.DSCN2467

While you are on in Palampur a ride on the famous toy train is must. Buy a ticket from the station and get your seat. Do ride the train from Palampur to jogindernagar if you have less time then upto baijnath. you will get to see beauty of kangra valley .Glorious views enroute make this a spectacular ride.Its a single track and trains cross at bigger stations on the way.
